LIGHTWEIGHT, corrosion RESISTANT
Expert Aluminum Fabrication
recent aluminum fab jobs
Although not quite as strong as stainless or carbon steel, aluminum is lighter and much better at conducting heat. When high loads are not a concern, aluminum can be the best metal for the job. It's excellent at resisting corrosion.
Lightweight
Aluminum is much lighter than steel. Projects fabricated with aluminum can be up to 60% lighter than steel. This makes aluminum the perfect solution for projects that need to be moved frequently. It also saves a ton on shipping costs.
Corrosion
Aluminum presents excellent corrosion resistance due to the formation of a barrier oxide film that is bonded strongly to its surface and, if damaged, re-forms immediately.
Strength
While not quite as strong as steel, aluminum has a very high strength to weight ratio.
Conductivity
Aluminum is excellent at conducting heat. Its often used as a heat sync to move heat away from other fixtures.
Non-magnetic
Another great attribute that contributes toward effectiveness as metal, aluminum is non-magnetic and does not cause interference of magnetic fields. As a result, aluminum is frequently used in magnet x-ray devices and other equipment that relies on magnetic fields.
